About us

I love hats, I always have.  It's led to a collection that grows almost daily, so when I was attempting to design some branded headwear for my other business, I figured it would be a piece of cake. Problem is, what should have been an afternoon task ended up taking weeks as I scrutinized all aspects of the process - logo design, colour, placement, mesh back or not, flat or curved brim, snapback or flexfit, and the list goes on... and that was just the design! Was I being too particular? Possibly, but that attention to detail and passion to design a great looking hat led us to create Hazenvade.

Now, along with my wife, Nadine and two daughters, Hazel and Vada (also the namesakes of the company) we have set out to make great looking headwear and apparel for the whole family. Living in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada we have a very diverse climate, from -40° to +40°, so from sitting on the beach in July to hitting the slopes in February, we've got you covered!
